Kevlar® is a highly durable, flexible, and relatively lightweight para-aramid fibre. It is heat-resistant up to 370°C, and its tensile resistance is five times higher than steel. This fibre is non-flammable and highly cut-resistant. The yarn made of this fibre is suitable for woven and knitted fabric productions and technical textiles. It is widely used to produce bulletproof vests, military or firefighter clothing and cut-resistant gloves. Usually, the yarn of Kevlar® fibre is for sewing heat-resistant gloves.
